The building, which now houses the municipal library and was previously used as a cinema, is called San Biagio because an oratory named after this saint already existed here in the 15th century. Starting from 1618 it became the seat of the Confraternity of the Battuti Bianchi. A valuable painting of the second half of the 17th c. by Joseph Heintz, depicting the procession of the Battuti, is kept in the city cathedral.
